“The times they are a-changin’” -or- Emmett’s island adventure (part 2 of 5)

While Watusi is taking a break from appearances in the strip for a few weeks, you can get a tabloid-sized dose of talking dog adventures in this year’s Free Comic Book Day offering:

… while it’s nothing new for you long-time followers of the strip, it is a way for me to spread the word about this little venture of mine. If you’d like a copy for your very own, be sure to stop by Astrokitty Comics & More (right here in Lawrence, KS) or Pop Culture Comix (Overland Park, KS) this Saturday (May 1st) and get one while they last*! Tell a friend, too — it’s a fun event, and FREE comics can’t be beat!

  1. Apparently Emmett is no fan of gentrification (I dig the smoke coming out of his ears)! You should have saw what happened when he visited Times Square recently.

    Your FCBD offering looks sharp!

By the by, expect some SPACE in an envelope soon!

    1. I was happy with the smoke from the ear effect, too. And, even though I used it just a couple of weeks ago, it seemed like the right effect to use here.

Hope your SPACE trip was a good one!

  2. Is Emmett actually laying hands on an officer of the law? That’ll get you arrested in most places. He’s got guts!

    1. Thanks – the last panel went through quite a bit of reworking while I was doing the final drawings, but I was really happy with how it turned out. Much looser drawings and a better reaction from the rookie cop.
