I liked Watusi’s “begging” expression so much back when he was trying to get a ride to Isla Esmerelda that I just kept drawing the pupils bigger and bigger and bigger… let’s hope his attempt at being irresistible pays off again!
… and Rodrigo is such a blowhard that he doesn’t inhale all that much…
These last 3 pages make me yearn for the days of the digest comics. They flow as a longer story does, and sadly, a page ever few days really kills the flow. Having said that, this is moving along nicely, and I still remain intrigued by the guy in the suit and sunglasses. 🙂
Yeah, I wish I could do more than one page a week, but that’s just how my schedule is working out right now. Plans are (as I get closer to the end of the story) to release the story in the regular digest comic, too. I’m trying to pace the story out so that there are nice breaks after every strip, as well as in issue/chapter lengths (every 20 strips or so), which has been a good exercise for me.
And don’t worry – you’ll be seeing plenty more of Rodgrigo in the remainder of the story…
I don’t know why, but Watusi’s eyes look odd in the second panel. Maybe it’s just me. And isn’t Rodrigio afraid of his amigo’s secondhand smoke?
