  1. Hmm. I may look great in a bat suit, but I’m no detective, so I’ll have to wait to see how this one turns out! It’s a good thing I’m enjoying the ride! Keep up the great work Dale!

    1. Thanks, Brien! Glad you’re still enjoying the ride– things are coming to a head in the strips I’m working on now; both the who- and why-dunnits will be explained soon…

      1. For an upcoming sequence I redrew and redrew and redrew until I finally decided it was all close enough. The swipe file really only works for small sequences.

        1. I think I read once that Frank Miller used matchbox cars as reference tools. I guess I need to keep an eye out for an on-model version of the Professor’s truck, at least! Or learn a 3-D modeling program– that would be a useful cheat for me!

    1. Hmmm, hadn’t thought about that. I really don’t want to anthropomorphize my animal characters too much (even if Watusi seems to manipulate his paws in very thumb-like fashion from time to to time), but coveralls would certainly up Mitchell’s cuteness factor, wouldn’t it?

Or maybe he just doesn’t get as grimy as the Professor does…
