… and that brings “The Case of the Purloined Pocketwatch” to its conclusion! Thanks for sticking around for this long storyline; if you’d like to hear some behind-the-scenes thoughts on what I learned from writing a mystery story, check out my Smeary Soapbox Press-ents blog post on the subject!
Come back next week for the start of a super-short storyline. I think it will be a pleasant surprise for you!
On seeing Carl holding the horticulture award, the first thing I thought of was he is holding Teebo’s gun.
It must be just because that’s where my head is at: too much Teebo!
So, next time Watusi needs help identifying a plant or in what conditions certain plants grow, he’ll be able to head to Mr. Responsible Citizen Carl!

Hmmm…. maybe I should have made that award look less vase-like! (And please be careful– I hate to think what too much Teebo on the brain might lead to!)
Would Carl want to help Watusi? I think they may just steer clear of each other for a while…

Now that’s a happy ending! But what about the rift in Watusi and Prof. Harvey’s friendship? I hope some fence mending is on the way!

Addressing that rift is the very thing that will kick off the next long story…
