Well, at least Gus lets you know when you’ve worn out your welcome! Guess it’s just as well, though … because Watusi starts his new storyline next week! See you then!
Category: The sinister scheme of Sourpuss
“Second verse, same as the first”
“Up the river”
Next week: thrill to Watusi’s escape from the top of the waterworks!! And while that’s not the most exciting hook to try to draw you back in, I hope you’ll tune in anyway. Thanks for reading “The sinister scheme of Sourpuss”!
(And I know Sourpuss is really headed down the river, but that just doesn’t have the same flair as a title…)
“Pushed to the edge!”
“Fighting like cats and dogs!”
“Things are about to get more sour!”
It may look like things are reaching a head … but they’re only going to get uglier next week!
In other news, Watusi#28 (collecting the “Home again, home again” storyline) goes on sale July 3rd! Get the full scoop at www.smearysoapboxpress.com!
“A fine night for a confrontation”
“Just a quick break”
Aha! It looks like a confrontation is at … er… paw!
This episode marks a milestone of a sort for the Watusi comic strip: as hard as it is for me to believe, this episode marks the first time that more than half of the strips have not been part of the “Isla Esmerelda” storyline! Seems like so much has happened since then…
“You got to know when to hold ’em…”
“Information overload”
Believe it or not, I did actual research for this strip! So if you ever find yourself with a hankering to learn about water treatment without all the blah blah blah, I’d recommend The Magic School Bus at the waterworks / by Joanna Cole ; illustrated by Bruce Degen (New York : Scholastic Inc., ©1986).
