“I guess you really did miss me!”

That may be the last time anyone throws a party for Watusi! Or at least buys a cake for one…

“The hard truth”

strip373

Well, yeah, Watusi had his bad points, but come on! Let’s hope Emmet has something better to say about Watusi in the next episode!

Another batch of guest stars made the trip to my comic for Watusi’s memorial: special thanks to Matt Levin (best known for his Walking Man rubber stamp comics; Matt was also a Dime Bag Comics contributor), Drew Boynton (creator of fun Doggie & Jilly comics; Drew was also in APA-5 with me), and Matt Feazell (creator of the Amazing Cynicalman, among other stick figure masterpieces) for classing up this episode! If you’re not already familiar with their work, there’s no time like the present…

“The first time”

strip371

I can’t tell if the look on my face is me staring at Missus Moses’ hat, or realizing I don’t know what I’ll do without Watusi!

A special thanks to Keith O’Brien, Tom Cherry, and Brien Wayne Powell for allowing their respective characters Samurai Slate, Arlo Wazzo, and Magnet Man to make the trip to Wonder Valley for Watusi’s memorial service. Look for more guests in the weeks to come!

More familiar faces– and moments of levity, believe it or not– to come…

“Lo! There shall be an ending!”

strip334

… and that brings “The Case of the Purloined Pocketwatch” to its conclusion! Thanks for sticking around for this long storyline; if you’d like to hear some behind-the-scenes thoughts on what I learned from writing a mystery story, check out my Smeary Soapbox Press-ents blog post on the subject!

Come back next week for the start of a super-short storyline. I think it will be a pleasant surprise for you!

“Been there, done that”

strip298

Oh, yeah! This storyline has given Watusi lots of experience with that, hasn’t it?

While I’ve got your attention, I wanted to remind my regular readers that I’m moving my email reminder list to MailChimp, and I hope you’ll join me there. This link will take you to the signup page, where you can choose if you’d like to get reminders weekly, monthly, or quarterly.

Of course, if you’d like to get the strip itself delivered directly to your inbox each time one is posted, you can sign up with the “Hungry for more?” link on the right hand sidebar. Thanks!

“Visitors always appreciated”

strip297

Let’s hope Watusi remembers to try honey instead of vinegar when he finally meets Vivi!

If you have time, you might like to pop over and visit “The Real Matt Show”, where Matt Sears writes about his experiences as a teacher, shares short fiction & poems, and the occasional comic review … including this review of last summer’s Dime Bag Comics! Thanks, Matt!

“Those were the days … “

strip296

Finally, some inside info from a reliable source! This will help Watusi solve this mystery!

That’s right– Watusi’s quest to solve this mystery will end this year, along with at least two (count ’em: 2!) new digest comics! Hope you’ll stick around for the fun!

“Watching Pepe Le Pew cartoons pays off!”

strip295

Aha! Looks like Watusi is finally closing in on the secret behind his purloined pocketwatch! Things are looking up for his 2015, and I hope they are for yours, too — best wishes for a happy and healthy new year!

“Smoothing ruffled feathers”

strip294

Looks like Missus Moses is more forgiving of Watusi’s headstrong nature than everybody else in Wonder Valley. It’s a Christmas miracle!!

Oh yeah … merry X-mas!
