Closer and closer! Hopefully the Professor can rescue talking Watusi before Sir Watusi gets gotten by the Vortextulizer!

With Thanksgiving just around the corner (shopping done, cooking still to come), I want to take a moment to express my thanks to all my readers– I’m truly grateful for each and every one of you who take the time to check in on Watusi’s adventures every week. Knowing that you’re waiting for a new episode keeps me motivated to do my best each week…

… even when, like this week, I have a lot on my plate. And that’s not some Thanksgiving pun, either– I’ve been busy finishing up my booth for the Memphis Arts Collective Holiday Market! I’m excited about this opportunity, and will be debuting new projects and showcasing all new paintings and drawings. Make a point to get to this show– it features over 30 artists and artisans from the Mid South showing and selling unique handcrafted items you won’t find anywhere else! It’ll be up from this Friday through Christmas Eve, so you’ll have lots of opportunity to shop local, support local artists, and have FUN!

Watch my Twitter feed for announcements of when I’ll be at the market; it’s your chance to get comics signed or just chat with me about my art. Hope to see you there!

Mitchell doesn’t look too happy at the return of Watusi … or maybe he’s just afraid the Professor’s conduit will bring Cthulhu across!

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by my table during last weekend’s Air Capital Comiccon! If your first taste of Watusi has encouraged you to check out more, welcome! Feel free to browse the archives– a lot has happened since the “Emerald Serpent” storyline!

… although maybe “nightmare” is more appropriate …

A big thank you to everyone who stopped and chatted with me during last weekend’s Memphis Comic Expo (check out these great photos from the con by my table neighbor Brandt Hardin)! If your first taste of Watusi has encouraged you to check out more, welcome! Feel free to browse the archives– a lot has happened since the “Emerald Serpent” storyline!

After all, what else could it be?

This weekend affords you a rare chance to ask me where this storyline is headed in person at this weekend’s Memphis Comic Expo. I’m looking forward to introducing myself to the wider Mid South comic reading community there, and am bringing the full “Watusi and the Emerald Serpent” book tour to the show. Stop by and say “hi” if you’re in the neighborhood!

“Late Night with Professor Harvey”

It’s no wonder the Professor looks so haggard– between staring at a computer monitor all day and contemplating math problems all night, it’s no wonder he’s bleary-eyed!

I’ve talked a bit about my upcoming “Watusi and the Emerald Serpent” tour stops (including the Memphis Comic Expo, Oct. 22-23 and Wichita’s Air Capital Comiccon, Nov. 12-13), and I hope you’ll be able to visit me at one of those events. If you can’t make it, though, the full set of seven issues is now available for purchase from my online storedetails here!

It’s good to see that Professor Harvey’s life has moments of respite from his research into the cause of Watusi’s demise!

A big thank you to everyone who stopped and chatted with me during last Saturday’s Mid-South Book Festival! If your first taste of Watusi has encouraged you to check out more, welcome! Feel free to browse the archives– a lot has happened since the “Emerald Serpent” storyline!
